Every self-serve dog wash in America, on one map.

2,264 places where you wash your own dog — raised tubs, warm water, shampoo and dryers, usually $10–$20 a visit. Google Maps mixes these in with full-service groomers who will not let you near the tub, so every location here is one where you do the washing yourself.

What this is

DogWashAtlas is a free directory of self-serve dog washes in the United States, organised by state and city. Every listing has an address; most have a phone number, and where a business publishes its hours or services we show those too. Listings come from open data and from the businesses themselves, who can correct their card at any time — about the directory. Nothing on the lists is paid placement.

Pick a state above, or use the “near me” button to jump to the self-serve dog washes closest to you. City pages show the full list with a map; state pages collect smaller towns that have a single location.

Why not just use the tub at home? A self-serve station gives you a raised tub you do not have to bend over, a sprayer that reaches the undercoat, a proper dryer, and — the part everyone forgets — someone else cleans the hair out of the drain. Most places supply shampoo and towels in the price.

Common questions

How much does a self-serve dog wash cost?

Usually $10–$20 per dog, and that normally includes shampoo, towels and a dryer. Pet store chains sit at the lower end; standalone wash bars charge more but tend to have better dryers and stronger water pressure.

What do I need to bring?

Just the dog and a leash. Most stations supply shampoo, conditioner, towels and a dryer, though some charge extra for towels. Bring your own brush if your dog is heavily shedding — house brushes are often worn out.

Do I need an appointment?

Almost never — self-serve bays are first-come, first-served. The exception is a handful of grooming salons that rent their tub between appointments; those want a call first, and we mark the ones that take walk-ins.
